It has a growing population, which incorporates an increasing number of residents that claim to come from Hispanic or Latino descent. During the 2006 U.S. Census, the city reported a total population of 194,822 residents. Of that number, 2,326 stated they were Hispanic or Latino and 1,773 said they used the Spanish language inside their homes.
